When applying for medicine, or any degree for that matter, it’s vital that you choose the right universities for you.
Open Days are a great way to first-hand visit, explore, get the right information and get a feel of what it’d be like to go to a certain university. However, they aren’t always accessible to everyone and considering the current situation, it isn’t practical for universities to conduct these right now either. Lucky for us though, we’ve now seen the introduction of various Virtual Open Day initiatives from tons of medical universities in the UK.
Being an international applicant, I definitely missed out on an opportunity like this, something that I think would’ve been super helpful whilst making my decision. It can often be overwhelming to have to decide between 33 medical schools but Open Days are a great way to help narrow it down a little!
Therefore, I’ve put together this comprehensive list of all the incoming Medicine Virtual Open Day 2020 dates I could come across for your reference so be sure to book your place and check out each university’s website for more details.

Another wonderful initiative that I absolute had to include in this post is the mention of a Virtual Medicine Open Day series on @lifeofamedic_’s blog here; where you’ll get to read about life at various different universities from the perspective of medical students themselves, alongside with the chance to ask your own questions about each med school over the next few weeks! I’d strongly recommend subscribing to and following her blog and staying updated for whichever universities peak your interest.
