As the UCAT 2020 dates approach, I am here to provide you with my comprehensive review about the Ace the UCAT Course E-book, kindly gifted to me by Ace the UCAT (@ace.the.ucat).
Even though this review is in collaboration with them, all feedback I express is entirely my own.
Anyone who has looked into the UCAT and its available preparation materials would know that a lot of the courses and books for the same tend to be quite expensive. The Ace the UCAT E-book, in contrast, is priced at £14.99, which makes it comparatively quite affordable.
Since it comes in an e-book format in the form of a PDF, it is also very portable and accessible on any electronic device. However, if you prefer a hard copy, it certainly isn’t much of a hassle to print out the 36 pages which are concise yet filled with so many great strategies and tips to help you do well on the UCAT.
It covers all sorts of detailed advice regarding every section of the UCAT, how to approach different question types effectively, as well as tips on time management and things to do on your test day. The e-book is also completely up to date with details on the UCAT 2020 such as the scratchpad and information based on whether you choose to do the exam at a test center or at home.
I personally really liked the strategies provided for the SJT sub-test as many specific question examples were included to help readers obtain a better understanding for each situation.
The creator of the Ace the UCAT Course e-book is a medical student who scored 835 average and Band 1 (99th Percentile) and as stated on their website, the e-book is best used alongside a Medify subscription.
In my opinion, the one thing that could make this great resource even better might possibly be the inclusion of more visual diagram and example questions in order to help readers infer and apply the given tips in an efficient manner.
However, overall, this e-book is certainly one of the best (and affordable) UCAT resources out there and I would definitely recommend it to any test-takers this year.
Ace the UCAT also offer unlimited full bursaries to anyone who has ever received a free school meals, another bursary or universal credit. Visit their website here for further details and inquiries.
