Hi there and welcome to my little corner of the internet! ‘The Medic Journal’ is something I’ve created to provide assistance and advice to any aspiring medic out there from an aspiring medic herself.

It is an online platform designed to aid students from all walks get into their dream medical schools where you can receive first-hand tips, resources and more on how to ace the UCAT, attain work and volunteering experience, perfect your personal statement, and smash those interviews, as well as detailed guidance on every aspect of the application procedure.

Also stick around to find more blog posts on productivity, motivation and insights into the life of a medical student.

A little bit about me; I’m a first year medical student at the University of Birmingham in the UK. I have immense love for all things medicine, writing and corgis, and so that is why I decided to start out this blog. Well. mostly the former two reasons.

I can still vividly remember how confusing and daunting the entire application process can be and now that I’ve personally managed to successfully get through it, I believe this would be the perfect opportunity to help as many people as I can with the same, something that I think I myself would have wanted when I underwent the experience, a guide for every step along the way.

I also plan on documenting my journey through medical school, hopefully providing some of you with a look into what’s to come as well, taking you alongside on my journey!

Although try not to be too surprised if I ramble on about my favorite books, why I believe milk goes in before cereal (no hate please) or the weather every once in a while.

Thank you for stopping by and happy reading! Don’t forget to subscribe for regular updates and feel free to contact me with any queries or thoughts you might have.
